The latest NEXRAD image shows steady, heavy rain over much of central Virginia. These pockets of rain and storms will track ENE overnight, brining an additional 1-3″ of precipitation to already drenched areas. There is a small potential for gusty winds in some of the storms, but that chance should diminish after 10 p.m.

The morning rush hour for the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area promises to be very soggy with heavy rain reducing visibilities.
